Why Choose Pogo Pin?

Seven Advantages at a Glance

Better User Experience
Easy to mate and unmate, resistant to accidental detachment and damage, delivering the best possible user experience.
Stable Current
By increasing the number of contact points, different pogo pin designs maximize current capacity while improving stability.
Low-Volume Production Friendly
Pogo pins are produced on high-precision turning machines with no tooling required. Compared with stamped connectors, they support smaller production runs at lower cost.
Best Space-to-Current Ratio
As electronics continue to shrink, no other connector offers a better space-to-current ratio than the pogo pin, delivering maximum transmission efficiency in minimum space.
Easy Assembly, Lower Labor Cost
Pogo pins cut the labor time needed to install cables and pins, and give industrial designers and engineers new freedom in mechanical layout and feature design.
High Tolerance Margin
Small production errors usually make a connector unstable. Pogo pins have an exceptionally high tolerance margin in manufacturing, which reduces the chance of failure.
Long Service Life
Pogo pins last far longer than other connector types because they minimize mechanical stress on the components.

Application Design

Find the Right Design for Your Application

Back Drill

Back Drill

The back-drill design gives the spring extra room, shortening the overall length of the pogo pin

Length:2.5mm   Current:1A

Bias Tail

Bevel Cut

The internal bevelled tail offsets the plunger to create a lateral force, producing a more stable contact

Length:3.5mm   Current:2A

Ball

Ball Type

The internal ball design keeps the contact point firmly connected, delivering better performance

Length:4.5mm   Current:3-5A

What Affects the Current a Pogo Pin Can Carry

Number of Contact Points

The ball design maximizes the number of contact points, boosting and stabilizing the current.

Spring Force

The higher the spring force, the better the plunger presses against the barrel, which produces a more stable current.

Material

Different material types strongly affect a pogo pin conductivity, and the right surface roughness also matters for increasing current.

C.C.P. Leading Plating Technology

C.C.P. Super AP plating is the gold standard of the industry. Its superior material composition keeps contact resistance extremely low while offering outstanding resistance to galvanic corrosion, making it a complete solution for a wide range of electronic applications.

What Is Galvanic Corrosion?

Galvanic corrosion can occur when two dissimilar metals are in close contact in the presence of an electrolyte such as water. Different metals have different electrode potentials, so one becomes the anode and the other the cathode; the resulting current dissolves a small amount of the anode metal. Acidic or alkaline environments, such as human skin, greatly accelerate galvanic corrosion and can even attack metals such as gold and platinum.
